Jeremy M. Ben-David,

A licensed Israel Patent and Trademark Attorney since 1987, Mr. Ben-David holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic of the South Bank, London. He moved to Israel in 1984.

Mr. Ben-David has successfully drafted and prosecuted an extensive portfolio of notable patent applications in countries around the World, in key areas including medical devices, computer-related hardware and software inventions, water technologies, aircraft and military related systems, and alternative energy.

Mr. Ben-David has registered designs for clients from around the world, for products in industries ranging from food and beverages to diamonds, and from vacuum cleaners to telecommunications.

Dr. Michael Hammer,

Dr. Mike Hammer is a registered US Patent Attorney. He earned a J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School, a PhD. in Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Chicago, and a BA in Biology from Oberlin College. Dr. Hammer is a member of the Oregon State Bar.

Prior to joining JMB Ben-David, Dr. Hammer was an associate the US law firm at Klarquist Sparkman, LLP where he prepared and prosecuted US and international patent applications and worked with firms in Canada, the European Union, Australia, China and Japan. His technology focus includes molecular biology, virology, cell biology and cancer biology.

Avraham Hermon
Avraham Hermon
Avraham Hermon is a US Patent Agent and an Israel Patent Attorney (2006). He earned a BA in Chemistry from New York’s Yeshiva University and a Master’s Degree in Law from Haifa University.

Prior to joining JMB Davis Ben-David, Mr. Hermon had in-house experience in a number of Israeli pharmaceutical companies including Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. At Teva he led a team of patent attorneys in providing legal opinions on potential new developments for the company and prosecuting patent portfolios relating to the company’s innovative pipeline and marketed products.

In addition, Mr. Hermon has extensive experience in private practice, assisting leading universities and companies in patent drafting, prosecution, litigation, contractual issues and opinion work.

Mr. Hermon’s technology focus includes pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical cannabis, medical devices, veterinary medicines and computer-related inventions.

Adv. Dodiva Grant-Cohen

Adv. Dodiva Grant is a registered patent attorney and has been admitted to the bar in Israel, New York and New Jersey. She earned a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. in Biology from Yeshiva University.

Adv. Grant has been instrumental in the development of our Israel patent prosecution group.

Adv. Eviatar Aron
Adv. Eviatar Aron
Mr. Eviatar Aron is licensed to practice before both the US and Israel patent offices. He received a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, and a JD from St. Thomas University. He is also a US Attorney licensed by the State of Florida.

His main areas of expertise include Electrical Engineering, Software and Algorithms, and Hi-Tech. He also has experience in the fields of medical devices, agriculture, and mechanical engineering. Mr. Aron’s skills provide substantial expertise to our US practice, as well as a useful resource for our clients whose areas of development include the digital and electronic arts.

Adv. Aaron Lewin
Adv. Aaron Lewin
Adv. Aaron Lewin is an experienced IP attorney who is licensed to practice before the Israel Bar. He earned an LL.B. from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a B.A. from Yeshiva University in Biology and Chemistry. He also has an M.A. from Harvard University’s Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations.

Since the 1980’s Adv. Lewin has advised clients in Israel and abroad on a full range of intellectual property matters, in fields including biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. He represents clients before Israeli courts and the Israel Patent and Trademark Office, and has managed and prosecuted the worldwide trademark portfolio of the world’s largest manufacturer of dental alloys for over a decade. Adv. Lewin is co-author of “Security Interests in Intangible Assets: Israel” in Intellectual Property in the Global Marketplace, Vol. 2, published by John Wiley & Sons in 1999.

Dr. Sinai Yarus
Dr. Sinai Yarus
Dr. Yarus is licensed to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office and the Israel Patent Office. He earned a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University and Hadassah Medical School, an M.Sc. in Animal Science from the University’s Faculty of Agriculture, and a B.Sc. from Ohio State University.

Dr. Sinai Yarus specializes in fields including medical imaging, clean tech, solar energy, nano-particle based technology, medical devices, bone cement, RF applications, water purification and communications systems, as well as agriculture, biochemistry, biotechnology and molecular biology.

Dr. Yarus has drafted and prosecuted applications dealing with computer implemented inventions that rely primarily on software algorithms in the field of cryptography, image processing, Internet and communications technology.

 Josh Van De Riet

Joshua Ari Van De Riet is a US Attorney focusing on FDA law. He earned is Juris Doctor at the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Certificate in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law and Compliance from Seton Hall University Law School. Prior to joining JMB Davis Ben-David, Joshua worked as Lead Regulatory Counsel at the Food and Drug Administration, focusing on Promotion, Advertising and Labeling of Tobacco Products.
Adv. Aryeh Reif
Adv. Aryeh Reif
Adv. Aryeh Reif is of counsel to JMB Ben-David, specializing in contentious intellectual property issues. He earned a LL.B.from Bar-Ilan University and is a member of the Israel Bar. Adv. Reif’s practice areas also include corporate and commercial law.

In recent years Adv. Reif has been active in opposition proceedings before the Israel Trademark Office that involved well known international brands in the beverage market.

Rachel Bentov
Rachel Bentov
An Israel Patent Attorney, Ms. Bentov has close to 20 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications and has served as in-house IP counsel for a variety of Israeli companies. She earned an M.Sc in Biochemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Ms. Bentov’s areas of expertise include algorithms, software, image processing and medical devices as well as life science related fields such as agriculture, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Mrs. Samis is a US Patent Agent. She has a BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences, from Hadassah College, Jerusalem, and a MSc. in Pharmacology, with a focus on Cancer research, from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem
