Adv. Ivan Lipshitz is an Israeli and South African commercial  and IP attorney with over 35 years of experience in both private practice and in-house roles. He holds a BA. LLB from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Before joining JMB Davis Ben-David, Adv. Lipshitz spent 15 years in-house as IP Counsel at a large multinational diamond group, where he managed a global portfolio of hundreds of trademarks and designs. His responsibilities included trademark and copyright infringement proceedings, data licensing agreements, website terms of service, and other technology-related agreements.

Previously  having managed the Trademarks and Designs Department  at JMB Davis Ben-David for a number of years,  Adv. Lipshitz now focuses on matters involving involving:

• Trademark infringement and brand protection enforcement across digital and e-commerce platforms and social media.
• Handling UDRP domain name disputes and related  IP dispute resolution and brand protection strategies.
• Trademark audits and due diligence.
• Software licensing and SaaS agreements.
• NDAs, licensing and assignment agreements, and other commercial and IP-related contracts.

When not spending quality time with his grandchildren, Ivan enjoys traveling and writing articles on intellectual property law.
