Israel enjoys a well-earned reputation as a hothouse for enterprises built on research and development in diverse fields of advanced science and technology. It is home to the world’s largest number of startup companies outside of the US as well as to multinational companies such as IBM, Cisco, Intel and Google. A large number of Israeli companies and research establishments participate in cooperative ventures with corporations from Japan, India, the US, Germany and the United Kingdom, among others, in fields as diverse as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, telecommunications, computer science, defense technologies, solar energy, and water technologies.

Where appropriate and approved by the client, we apply innovative ‘tools’ provided by the Israeli legislature and the Patent Office to advance patent prosecution. Patent Cooperation Treaty
Since Israel implemented the provisions of the Patent Cooperation Treaty in 1995, PCT use has become an integral part of our work, both for Israeli clients seeking protection in other jurisdictions and for overseas companies seeking to acquire patent rights in Israel. Israeli applicants account for proportionally more PCT applications than most other countries and Israel is one of the most popular destinations for national phase filings.
In 2012 Israel’s Patent Office joined the elite group of patent offices recognized by the World Intellectual Property Organization as a Search and Examination Authority. It is already issuing high quality search and examination reports that meet the standards set by the top patent offices worldwide and issues them more quickly than the USPTO and EPO.
Our practice includes filing PCT applications both at the USPTO and at the International Bureau in Geneva, providing all options to our varied community of clients from around the world.
Because Sunday is a regular work day for us and for the Israel Patent Office, we provide a crucial time advantage by filing all patent applications including PCT while other patent offices are closed.
