We all have to deal with reality. Sometimes that reality can come bearing gifts, such as from the USPTO with fee reductions. Other times it can inform us that words matter: if we state a position regarding our patent claims then that means something – we can’t change our positions just because it’s convenient. And when we refer to our brands, we have the power to determine how strong they become, based on the words we say and our watching how others refer to them.
Finally, in terms of a different kind of reality altogether, our thoughts and prayers are with the children, women and men of Turkey and Syria who have been affected by the terrible recent earthquakes. We are proud of the spirit of brotherhood that pervades humanity in the face of such disasters, proud of our Israeli soldiers and medical teams that have gone to assist, and proud that we are just one nation among many that have banded together to whatever we can to help weather the immense challenges in the face of disaster.
